How TakeFivve works with your Etsy shop

TakeFivve is an independent tool for making mockups of your own designs and listing them in your own shop. This page sets out exactly what it does with your Etsy shop, and what it never does.

Who makes TakeFivve

TakeFivve is built and run by DALSTON 606 LIMITED, which also owns the Etsy shop Dalston Jazz Posters. We built it for our own shop first and now offer it to other sellers. It's our own product. It isn't made by, for or on behalf of Etsy, Shopify or any other company, and it isn't an Etsy product or a Shopify product.

What it does with your shop

  1. 1You connect your own shop through Etsy's own sign-in. We never see your Etsy password, and each seller can only connect their own shop.
  2. 2You make mockups of your own designs in TakeFivve, using your own room photos.
  3. 3When you press publish, TakeFivve creates a listing in your shop or updates one of your own listings. Nothing changes in your shop until you do.
  4. 4You can bring in your own listings, so you can add mockups to products you already sell.
  5. 5To fill in listing fields, it reads your shop's sections, shipping profiles, return policies and Etsy's list of categories.

The permissions we ask for

Three, and nothing else. You'll see them on Etsy's screen when you connect.

We don't ask to delete listings, and we don't ask for orders, buyers, messages or payments.

What it never does

  • Read other sellers' shops, listings or search results
  • Scrape Etsy, or offer competitor research or market analysis
  • Send any Etsy content, such as listings, images or shop data, to an AI model, or use it to train one
  • Copy listings you bring in from Etsy to any other shop or channel
  • Publish or change anything in your shop without you pressing publish

Etsy data and AI

We do not use any data from Etsy to train AI or machine learning models, ours or anyone else's. Listings, images and shop data from Etsy are never sent to an AI service.

When you add a new product from your own design image, you can ask for a suggested title, description and tags. The suggestion is made only from the image you upload to TakeFivve, never from anything on Etsy. You check and edit it before it goes anywhere.

Your data and your choices

Disconnect any timeFrom Settings in TakeFivve, or from the Apps page in your Etsy account.
Removal on requestAsk us to remove your data and we'll do it within 30 days.
Told within 24 hoursIf Etsy data were ever exposed, we'd tell you and Etsy within 24 hours.
